Picture perfect...batman is a realistic happening - Batman Begins Reviews
Just got back from the midnight show...I went in with so-so expectations (I wasn't too impressed with the trailers)...I left absolutely enthralled and raving about its entirety. The characters were all brought on an even playing field - no supernatural beings...all normal people (some more gifted than others)...the movie was cast perfect - Gary Oldman was the straight cop, Morgan Freeman was the keen scientist, Michael Caine was superb as Alfred, Katie was a strong and intelligent woman and Christian Bale was by FAR the BEST Batman on screen. The biggest intrigue in the movie was the history and foundation of the Wayne family and legacy. You felt a connection with the boy Bruce and his mom and dad...by far one of the best movies of the year - not just a superhero movie...but a very intelligently written, acted and directed movie. I was impressed with Christopher Nolan's big directing leap (I was not a fan of Memento and I thought Insomnia was okay)...but he hit gold with this one...and with the teaser they left at the end of the movie for the next villan, I only hope everyone signed on for the sequel!!! Check it out!!!
